“And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14
On New Year’s Eve, I went camping by myself. When I got to the campsite, I was very conscious of the time. When did I get out there? How much time until sunset? And then I realized it doesn’t matter. The sun was going to set when the sun set. The time on the clock was irrelevant, so I stopped looking at the clock, and instead of moving with the clock, I moved with the day, with the path the sun was making in the sky. I moved with the weather as it slowly got colder and colder. I ate when I needed to eat. I made a fire when I needed to make a fire. In society we are bound to the clock, but it masks the true course of time. Our time is running out. None of us know if we have months or years or hours left. But it doesn’t matter. If we move through our lives with God as our guide, we will accomplish all He has for us.
